The Forever Open
Dates and entry requirements for the level 30 Horde duel tournament.
Schedule
The announced tournament runs October 17-18, 2026, with a $100,000 prize pool. Registration closes October 4 at 11am Pacific. Qualifiers are on October 17; the top four players per class advance to October 18.
Register your character
- Create a new Horde character on the PvP ruleset during registration, after September 27 at 11am Pacific. Its last name must be Foreverpvp.
- Register each character through Raider.IO before October 4 at 11am Pacific. Ask one of the administrators listed in the rules for an invite to The Forever Open IV.
- Reach level 30, check in on Raider.IO on October 17 and bring the 15 gold entry fee. You can register several characters, but only one can compete.
Talent builds and streams
The official rules require one talent build per stage, submitted at least 24 hours before that stage starts. You can change builds between qualifiers and finals. Stream your duels and any requested bag or talent inspections, and keep the recording for referees.
Banned items and buffs
Magic Dust, Slumber Sand, Furbolg Medicine Pouch and all six school protection potions are banned. Holiday consumables and buffs, campfire buffs, world buffs and temporary quest or world-objective buffs are also banned. Only your own class's self-buffs are allowed before a duel. Permitted item and consumable buffs can be used once it begins. Banned items must not be in your bags during an inspection.
Starting a duel
Stand at the flag, then each move 10 yards in opposite directions for a 20-yard start. Stay there for the administrator's countdown; stealthed characters can move. Rogues and druids have the opener, and warriors have it against other classes. Stealth against stealth has no assigned opener. An assigned opener expires after 25 seconds without an offensive action. A druid's opening cast frees the opponent when the cast begins.
Class rules and breaks
Shamans can start with up to four totems. Pre-casting healing over time, laying hunter traps and sacrificing a demon before the duel are banned. Breaks between duels are limited to one minute, and total offline time to three minutes. A warlock can leave once for soul shards after checking with an administrator, without using a bank, vendor or another player.
Before registering
Read the organizer's current rules for banned items, consumables and duel procedures. Legacy points are permitted in the October 1 rules capture. Future restrictions, start times and qualifier details depend on organizer updates, so check the current document before committing to a build.
Updated 1 October 2026. Beta details can change.
